The Hanover Names Helen Savaiano Vice President, Management Liability
WORCESTER, Mass. (November 12, 2008) – The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE: THG), a leading super regional property and casualty company, today announced that Helen Ryan Savaiano has been named vice president, management liability, for the company’s commercial lines business.
In this capacity, Savaiano will be responsible for developing a business unit that builds on The Hanover’s current employment practices liability (EPLI) offering, to include non-profit and private company directors and officers, and other related coverages. She will work out of The Hanover’s office in Itasca, Illinois

Savaiano comes to The Hanover from W.R. Berkley Corporation, Chicago, where she held numerous senior-level management positions including, vice president, non-profit directors, officers and employment practices liability; and, most recently, vice president of the company’s small business unit.
