What does this program offer?
The Master of Business Administration Summer Internship Program offers a stimulating opportunity for the motivated individual to learn about the financial management of a property and casualty insurance company while making an immediate impact on our business. It is a feeder program for The Hanover’s Financial Leadership Program for MBA graduates, which seeks to groom the future leaders of our company.
The program is collegial, development-oriented and intense. Interns work on demanding projects and have the opportunity to interact with senior company management in informal settings.
Each participant will have a junior advisor who will provide personal guidance and support.
What do these interns do?
The two- to three-month summer internship provides world class on-the-job industry training, the opportunity to participate in high-priority projects, and opportunities to receive mentoring and networking. Typical responsibilities might include:

Projects are assigned based on organizational needs and may be in Personal Lines Finance, Commercial Lines Finance, Financial Analysis or Financial Reporting.
Interns meet regularly with company leadership and program managers to discuss their progress within the program. At the conclusion of the internship, they meet with managers to make a presentation on their summer work experience.
Who are we looking for?
The intern must be enrolled in an MBA program and may possess a CPA or equivalent degree. He or she also must have a minimum of two years of financial analysis experience. Other requirements include:
- A proven track record of performance and sound judgment
- Ability to interact with all levels of management throughout the company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
