Actuarial Student Program

An actuary uses advanced methodologies to evaluate the financial impact of economic, legal, and social trends on future events. Actuarial findings are used to match risk and price, helping a company to decide what to charge for coverage and how much to set aside to pay for anticipated claims. In this way, the actuary plays an essential role in setting financial foundation upon which an insurance company will operate.

Our Actuarial Student Program has been carefully designed to help qualified employees attain the knowledge, skills, experience and professional credentials that will result in a successful actuarial career with our companies.

This program represents a significant commitment by both the company and the employee. A participating employee agrees to make a serious attempt to sit for and pass the series of required actuarial exams. The company will pay fees associated with the exams and seminars, while the employee continues to gain valuable and practical work experience.
